Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt is on a trip to Japan today and will hold talks with Prime Minister Shinzō Abe in Tokyo this morning. He will also visit Toyota and NTT, where he will “reassure” bosses (as per the FCO press release) the “U.K. government is focused on avoiding a no-deal Brexit and on agreeing a deal which that will ensure tariff-free frictionless trade between the EU and the U.K.” Hunt will then roll back the years by heading to a Tokyo high school and teaching an English class, harking back to one of his first jobs after leaving university in the late 1980s.
